Applications are open for maternity and newborn sessions
We call it a model call, but we're not looking for models.
We're looking for real, everyday people who are pregnant or have just welcomed a new baby. That's the whole point. When we photograph a session for our teaching, other photographers need to see what it's actually like working with a real client, not a professional who knows how to pose. And when we photograph for our own marketing, the people who find us need to look at the images and see themselves. That only happens when the person in front of the camera is genuinely living this moment.
So if you've never been professionally photographed before, that's not a problem.
What you get
A session with us, completely free, plus three of your favourite images sized for social media. Together those would normally cost £440.
You'll be looked after from start to finish, whether we photograph you in our studio or out on location, and you'll come away with images most people only see when they've booked a full session with us. Once your photos are ready, we'll invite you back to view them, and if you fall in love with more than your three, you're welcome to purchase them. There's no obligation to spend a penny.
What we ask in return
We get to use the images and/or video. That means our portfolio, our social media, our website and our teaching content for other photographers. In return for a free session and images, your photos help us show our work and teach what we do. If you're comfortable being seen, this part is genuinely lovely, you become one of the faces of the brand.
Who we're looking for right now
This form covers both maternity and newborn sessions throughout the year, so a couple of things to check before you apply:
If you're pregnant, we photograph maternity sessions best between 28 and 32 weeks. That window gives us a beautiful bump while you're still comfortable enough to enjoy the session.
If you've just had your baby, newborn sessions are best between 5 and 14 days old, when they're at their sleepiest and curliest. Occasionally we run calls for older babies too, so if the post you saw mentioned an older newborn, you're still in the right place.
You'll also need to be happy to travel to us or the location of the session, and happy for your images and/or video to be shared publicly. If either of those is a no, this particular offer won't be the right fit and that's completely fine.
