The start of a new year often brings a sense of momentum and sometimes a little pressure too. If January already feels full, you’re not alone. The first quarter of 2026 is packed with photography events, conventions and learning opportunities. While it can feel tempting to try to do everything, the reality is that not every event will be right for every photographer.
That’s why we wanted to share a simple overview of what’s coming up over the next few months. Not as a checklist, and certainly not as an expectation, just as a way to help you plan intentionally.
January begins with The Society of Photographers Convention, including the Business School day on the 14th, followed by the main convention running from the 15th to the 17th. We’ll be there next week hosting The Business School and running a masterclass on the 15th, and we’re really looking forward to the conversations around sustainability, structure and building businesses that actually support your life.
February continues with a mix of smaller, more focused events. The Guild of Photographers Photohubs take place on the 6th and 7th. Followed by Doc Day on the 10th which is not one to miss for documentary wedding photographers. Later in the month, the Got Photo School and Nursery Event runs on the 25th and 26th, which will be particularly relevant for those working in education and volume photography.
March brings two of the larger international and UK based events. WPPI runs in Las Vegas from the 1st to the 5th, attracting photographers from a wide range of genres, and later in the month, The Photography & Video Show takes place from the 14th to the 17th. We’ll also be speaking at The Photography & Video Show this year, and we’re really looking forward to sharing space with so many photographers and educators across the industry.
It’s worth saying (and we’ll keep saying this) you don’t need to attend everything. Some events are heavily business focused, some are genre specific and others are more about inspiration and community. There’s no right or wrong choice here. The most valuable events are the ones that align with where you are right now, not where you think you should be.
