If in person sales has ever made you feel a bit awkward, a bit pushy or a bit “I’d rather just send a gallery and hope for the best” this one’s for you.
We’re joining Loxley Colour for their Studio Sessions London event on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st May at the Fujifilm House of Photography in Covent Garden. And the workshop we’re leading is all about in person sales and why having the right physical samples might be the single biggest shift you can make to your average client spend.
What are Studio Sessions?
Studio Sessions are Loxley Colour’s in person event series and they’ve brought it to London for the first time. It’s a full day designed for working photographers who want to level up their craft and their business in one go.
The day runs 11am to 5pm and tickets are £80. Here’s what’s included:
A hands on lighting workshop with Simon Burfoot (The Light Doctor) covering how to create polished, high end images with minimal kit. This is the kind of practical, repeatable session where you leave with workflows you can actually implement the next day.
Our workshop on in person sales and the power of samples. We’ll be sharing the exact approach we use in our own studio to guide clients through a sales appointment naturally, simplify product choices without losing revenue and use samples to do the selling for you.
A Loxley Colour pop up showroom where you can see and feel the product range in person, ask the team questions directly and get a proper sense of what your clients would be looking at.
The chance to try out Fujifilm’s GFX medium format kit in a working studio environment.
Why we said yes to this
Honestly? Because in person sales is the topic we get asked about more than almost anything else in our education community. And it’s not because photographers don’t want to do it. It’s because nobody has shown them how to do it in a way that feels natural and doesn’t make them feel like they’re pressuring anyone.
We built our in person sales process over years of trial and error inside our own maternity and newborn studio. We’ve tested what works, dropped what doesn’t and now our average client spend sits well above what it was when we relied on online galleries alone. A big part of that is physical samples. When a client can hold something, the decision becomes emotional rather than logical and that changes everything.
We’re going to walk you through all of it at Studio Sessions London.
Who is this day for?
This event suits photographers who are past the basics and ready to think more seriously about the business side of things. If you’ve been shooting for a while but your revenue hasn’t caught up with your skill level, this day is built for you. Whether you shoot families, weddings, portraits or anything else, the sales principles and the lighting techniques are transferable.
